The opening of the sea line between Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg in April was announced by the Algorithm Group press service on March 26 on the Telegram channel.
“We inform you that starting 04/07/04/2024 the motor ship “Patria” sets sail on the route Saint Petersburg – Kaliningrad – Saint Petersburg”, – the message said.
The motor ship “Patria”, about 101 meters long, has a loading capacity of 5,000 tons. It is a vessel specialized in the transportation of container cargo, including refrigerated cargo. On board there are 40 sockets to connect refrigerators.
The vessel also has the ability to accept self-propelled rolling equipment for transportation: trucks and cars, special wheeled and tracked construction equipment in the equivalent of 20 units (a tractor with a 90 cubic meter semi-trailer). Loading is done through the stern ramp.
The vessel is equipped with two cranes with a lifting capacity of 150 tons each. The cranes can operate in tandem, increasing their lifting capacity to 250 tonnes. Loading and unloading of the motor ship “Patria” is carried out in the Grand Port of St. Petersburg and the Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port.
