The communications unit of the Baltic Fleet worked on organizing communications with warships and fleet aviation at the ranges in the Kaliningrad region, the press service of the fleet in the official Internet portal of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The tactical and special exercise of the signalmen was carried out in accordance with the combat training plan. During the exercise, the servicemen practiced the rules for the deployment, disassembly and transfer of mobile stations based on command and staff vehicles, the laying of cables and the organization of wireless communication lines.
The main objective of the exercise was to check the organization and ensure stable channels of all types of communication with surface ships and naval aviation of the Baltic Fleet. In addition, competitions were held to choose the best equipment for the control room and communications station. The physical preparation of the signalmen during the forced marches was also checked.
More than 100 military communicators participated in the exercise of the communication units of the Baltic Fleet and about 30 units of military and special equipment were used.
