Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev confidently defeated German Dominik Köpfer on March 26 in the fourth round of the Masters Series tournament in Miami, United States.
The fourth racket in the world, Medvedev, won the first set in the tiebreak with 7:6 (7:5), and in the second game he beat Köpfer’s shuttler (50th place in the ATP ranking) with 6:0. The match lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes.
During the match, Medvedev completed seven aces, made one error on the second serve and won three games on the opponent’s serve (eight break points in total). Köpfer has five serves to his name, a double fault and a converted break point.
Daniil Medvedev will fight with the Chilean Nicolas Harry to reach the semifinals of the prestigious competition.
The Miami Masters Series tournament will be held on outdoor hard courts from March 20-31. The prize fund of the contest amounts to more than $8.9 million and the current champion of the contest is Daniil Medvedev.
