A resident of Makhachkala, who threatened to kill the famous Dagestan athlete, MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, was detained by the republic’s police, Arguments and Facts reported on March 30 on its website.
According to the publication, a 27-year-old man posted on Instagram a video message with threats against Nurmagomedov (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) and insulted him in every possible way. Ibrahim (the name of the detainee) promised to kill the athlete, as well as the head of the regional section of the Main Fisheries Agency, Abdulrashid Gadzhiev, and a police officer from the village of Dubki.
An investigation is carried out against the offender and the issue of initiating a criminal case is decided.
