The former deputy minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Astrakhan region was found guilty of fraud, the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported on March 29.
As it turned out, during his business trips outside the region, this representative of the ministry’s management did not pay for accommodation in housing. That is, it was resolved for free. However, upon returning to Astrakhan, he reported at his workplace that he had rented accommodation. He also indicated the amounts of expenses incurred that were reimbursed to him.
The incidents occurred in 2022 and 2023. During this time, more than 757 thousand rubles “fell” into the official’s pocket. Consequently, such damage has been caused to the budget.
The Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan handed down a sentence in a criminal case against the former deputy regional minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services. He was found guilty of large-scale fraud. The court sentenced him to a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
