The law on energy efficiency was approved in Turkmenistan’s parliament, the state agency TDH reported on March 31.
The new law establishes legal, economic and organizational principles in Turkmenistan aimed at stimulating energy conservation and the use of energy-efficient technologies.
It is noted that the law will stimulate the development of the country’s economy and ensure the possibility of using energy resources in the long term.
It is noted that the country’s president, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, stressed the importance of the rational and efficient use of Turkmenistan’s energy resources.
Parliament also adopted a law on the ratification of an agreement between Turkmenistan and China on international road transport. According to this document, road transportation of passengers and cargo between countries will be carried out in a mutually beneficial manner and transit traffic will also be regulated.
In addition, the deputies also approved the law “On hydrometeorological activities”, which provides a legal basis for providing information on the state of the environment and the hydrometeorological situation to various organizations and individuals.
