A 61-year-old Portuguese man was robbed on an avenue in central Madrid, Spain, leaving him without a Rolex watch worth 40,000 euros.
According to the press of the neighboring country, the crime occurred in the late afternoon of March 22 on a shopping street. The victim and his wife were about to enter the shopping center when a man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a motorcycle helmet grabbed the Portuguese man by the arms. The victim resisted and the thief fled. Only after checking all his personal belongings did the man realize that he had lost the luxury watch that was on his wrist.
Spanish police have already dismantled several gangs involved in this type of robbery, in which Italian groups are mainly to blame. The stolen goods are sent to the recipients.
