Libyan Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dbeibah’s residence was bombed by unknown assailants using anti-tank grenade launchers on March 31, Reuters reports.
“The residence of Libyan Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dbeibah was attacked on Sunday with anti-tank grenade launchers.”says the publication.
It is clarified that no one was injured as a result of the bombing. An anonymous agency source said the attack caused some damage to the residence. He did not reveal other details about what happened.
The agency notes that after the explosions at the residence, strong security forces were deployed around the area where it is located.
Let us remember that in 2011, in Libya, with the support of NATO, the country’s leader, Muammar Gaddafi, was overthrown and assassinated. After this, Libya collapsed and a civil war began.
There are currently two governments in Libya that do not recognize each other. One is headed by Dbeibah. This government is located in Tripoli and has the support of the UN. The other government is located in Benghazi. It is headed by Osama Hammad.
