A shooting that left people injured occurred at a school in the Finnish city of Vantaa, Iltalehti reported on April 2, citing police in the Itä-Uusimaa region.
Police received a call around 9:08 a.m. about a shooting at the school. Police arrived at 9:40 a.m. to investigate the incident. Passersby were asked to stay away from the site and not open its doors to strangers.
At 10:14 a.m., police said the suspect was in custody. As a result of the shooting, people were injured. The suspect was arrested near the school.
According to Yle citing police, three minors were injured.
MTV notes that the school, which has two learning centers, has about 800 children in grades 1-9. The centers are located at a distance of approximately 600 meters. According to MTV, the shooting occurred on the territory of the center, where primary school children study.
