The pilot test of proactive monitoring of dispensaries of patients with respiratory diseases and oncological diseases will be launched in 2023 in St. Petersburg, the Smolny press service reports on February 1 on the official Internet portal of the city administration.
As part of the dispensary observation, St. Petersburg residents with already diagnosed diseases are divided into priority groups based on risk category, assessed by their state of health. For each priority group, a plan is developed for each patient, which determines when and which specialists the patient will be invited to, how many examinations he has to undergo.
As part of the proactive monitoring of the dispensaries, the polyclinics themselves invite patients for an appointment. A pilot test of proactive dispensary follow-up of patients with cardiovascular diseases was already carried out in 2022 on the basis of polyclinic No. 23. Currently, this project is being expanded to all polyclinics in St. Petersburg.
Dmitry Motovilov, deputy chairman of the Health Committee, told the air of the Regional Management Center in St. Petersburg that in 2023 the city authorities plan to expand proactive monitoring of dispensaries for two more types of diseases. First, the project of proactive monitoring of dispensaries for patients with cancer and respiratory diseases will be tested, and then, by the end of 2023, it is planned to expand this practice to all polyclinics in the city.
