The Kemerovo Central Court issued a decision to the former head of the Kuzbass government, Vyacheslav Telegin, to extend the period of house arrest until February 15, with extenuating conditions, on February 1, the department’s press service reports.
According to information from the department, this decision was forced, since Telegin’s term of arrest is coming to an end and the investigation of the criminal case continues.
As stated in the press office: “The court came to the conclusion that the investigator’s arguments that, being on the run, the defendant can hide from the investigating authorities and the court, fearing possible punishment for a long time, are justified. other motives”.
This decision was commented on by the defendant’s lawyer, Yevgeny Khairulin, explained that there was a petition from the defender to soften the prohibitions in connection with the recommendations of doctors on the necessary physical activity, therefore, according to the court decision, it is now allowed officially leave the house. It should be noted that during the trial, based on the circumstances presented by the lawyer, the court softened some of the prohibitions, which the court considered justified. Telegin was allowed to expand the circle of people that he can see.
