Condemnation of the actions of the Conservative Party of Great Britain on the implementation of the Brexit project was expressed by the founder of the UK Reform Party, Nigel Farage, on January 31 in a comment to GB News.
The former Brexit Party chief said voters who voted to leave the European Union have “every right” to feel betrayed by the government.
“The Conservative Party, who fought this to the end, gave us a very bad deal. Boris Johnson told us that he was ready for the oven. I mean, the oven didn’t even get hot, to be honest, and I don’t think they really believed it.”Farage said.
The politician noticed that he “very disappointed” how the Conservative Party handled Brexit and said the party took on Brexit “for the election”.
The former politician also spoke about border controls and why he thinks the issue is so important to Brexit voters.
“The reason why the turnout in this referendum was about 10 percent higher than all the experts expected. There was one aspect of sovereignty that people really demanded to resolve, and that was the UK’s borders.Farage emphasized. — If you look today, the levels of legal immigration are much higher than in the countries of the European Union, not to mention the 45,000 people who crossed the English Channel last year. I think the people who voted for Brexit to take back control of our borders have every right today, three years later, to feel betrayed by this government.”
Nigel Farage also speculated on the future of Brexif and suggested that the UK could rejoin the European Union to “have the right to vote” in relation to EU laws that are still in force.
“Well, I think the message we get from the government is that a deal with Northern Ireland is close. This would mean that I am almost certain that, constitutionally, Northern Ireland simply will not be part of the United Kingdom.Farage said. — The message I get from David Lammy, especially from Labour, is that although he says on the one hand that we will not join the single market or the European Union, we will join almost every other group that will join their rules..
