This Friday, the Kremlin considered unfounded accusations by French President Emmanuel Macron that Russia was targeting the organization of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 for “information purposes.”
“These are accusations [de Emmanuel Macron] completely unfounded […] and are not supported by evidence. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media.
On Thursday, on the sidelines of the opening of a new aquatic center in Saint-Denis, Emmanuel Macron said he had no doubt that Russia was committed to the Olympic Games, especially “in terms of information.”
“Strength of soul, self-confidence, attitude to truth—this is the strength of democracies and great nations,” the French head of state added then.
