Two men were arrested last Thursday in Bor, Serbia, for the murder of a two-year-old girl. The child was last seen on March 26, when he was with his mother at an amusement park.
The suspects, who confessed to committing the crime, were driving through the park and accidentally ran over a child. To cover up the matter, the girl was put in a car and left unconscious in a landfill.
On the way, they met the child’s father, who questioned the suspects to see if they had seen the two-year-old girl, to which the men replied that they had not. One of the criminals later joined the search through a group of volunteers organized by the company he worked for.
Authorities have mobilized several operations to find the girl. Austrian police and Interpol were involved in the search.
Police have isolated the landfill that detainees identified as the location of the body, and the search continues.
