The politician did not discuss the details of his visit to the United States, but emphasized that his trip was aimed at strengthening relations with Washington. He said the visit included meetings with many “old friends” in Washington and Kuomintang members in San Francisco, California.
Let us remember that the Kuomintang is the main opposition party in Taiwan. During the January 2024 elections in Taiwan, it won the largest number of seats in the island’s Legislative Assembly – 52 out of 113.
