Today, on the eve of a great memorable date, we unveil the busts of our illustrious Soviet military leaders: Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin, Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov, Alexander Mikhailovich Vasilevsky. A different course has been taken in our country – to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War.”– stressed the chairman of the Volgograd Regional Duma, chairman of the regional organization of veterans Alexander Bloshkin.
Supreme Commander Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin. Today, during the period of a special military operation, it becomes clearer how difficult it is to lead the state and the army during the war. Stalin coped with the task from him, and the enemy was defeated.
But our city and Stalin are connected not only by military operations. Our city 36 years and seven months bore the name of Stalin – Stalingrad. And all these years the city has been actively developing. During the war years, the city remained undefeated (like Leningrad). And today we understand that we live in this modern and beautiful city, in this great industrial, scientific, cultural center of our country, also because for 36 years this city was called Stalingrad. And today’s events are a tribute to the great respect for historical justice and historical truth.
