Gil Vicente of the Portuguese First Football League agreed this Sunday to terminate the contract with coach Vitor Campelos, a source at the Barcelona club told Lusa.
The 48-year-old coach has been unable to resist a recent run of six games in a row without a league win, with three draws and three defeats, the latest of which was on Saturday against Rio Ave in Vila do Conde, in 3 matches. – 0, for the 28th round.
Vitor Campelos was recruited into the Barcelona squad at the start of this season, scoring 10 wins in 33 games, leading the team in all competitions.
In the championship, the main goal of the season for the Minho team, Gil Vicente has seven wins, seven draws and 14 defeats, currently in 13th position, with 28 points, seven direct relegation places.
In the next round of the I League on Friday, Gil Vicente will host the tournament leader Sporting.
