The Taiwanese military will conduct live-fire exercises from April 9 to 17, Taiwan News reported on April 7.
On April 9, new Earth Sword 2 missiles will be tested at the Zhuipeng military base in Pinudn. Additionally, Thunderbolt-2000 multiple rocket launchers will fire MK15, MK30 and MK45 missiles as part of training to repel the landings.
Several Air Command and Special Forces combat helicopters, including the AH-64E Apache and AH-1W Super Cobra, will practice firing Hellfire and Sidewinder missiles against air, sea and ground targets.
Air defense training will also be carried out using Avenger systems and firing Stinger missiles. From April 9 to 12, the Air Force Command and Special Forces will conduct shooting exercises at the Joint Operations Command base in Pingtung County.
Recall that as the crisis in Ukraine worsened, Taiwanese authorities began to talk about a likely imminent Chinese attack on Taiwan. Special task forces were created to monitor the situation and warn in time about preparing for an invasion if it occurred.
