The Israeli army announced this Monday that it had shot dead a Palestinian woman after an alleged stabbing attempt at a checkpoint east of the city of Tubas, in the northern West Bank.
According to the Israeli military, the woman considered the woman to be a terrorist who had arrived at the checkpoint and, “refusing to identify herself, tried to stab the soldiers who were there.”
“In response, the soldiers opened fire and neutralized the terrorist. There are no casualties among our forces,” he added.
A Palestinian woman was wounded after being shot at at the Tayasir crossing, which was closed in both directions by Israeli forces following the incident, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
