Violations in the maintenance of the cemetery in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Astrakhan region were eliminated only after the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the Kaspiyinfo news portal reported on February 1.
The Aksaray public prosecutor’s office verified compliance with the burial law and concluded that it was being violated. For a long time, the administration of the Krasnoyarsk region did not take measures to keep the cemetery located within the limits of the mining allotment of the Astrakhan gas condensate field. There was no fence, parking area for cars, drinking water supply source and lighting.
For this fact, the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit in court to force the municipality to equip the cemetery in accordance with the requirements of the law. The court granted the request. The municipality restored the cemetery to normality.
