Cereals were shipped to 51 countries around the world, while last year the number of importing countries was 47. The most important exported crops remain wheat, barley and other cereals.
In addition to millet cereals, wheat exports also showed significant growth, reaching almost 11 million tons in the first quarter of 2024, surpassing last year’s figures. Impressive growth was also seen in barley malt exports to the Central African Republic, which increased 5.5-fold compared to last year.
In total, more than 34.9 million tons of cereal products were exported through the Kuban ports in 2023, which is 37.5% more than in 2022. Kuban cereals were sent to 72 countries, including new destinations, including the Dominican Republic and Peru, and exports resumed to several countries, including Burkina Faso and South Korea.
