Stavropol police carried out a raid to identify and suppress violations of immigration legislation, the state radio and television company Stavropolye reported on April 10 on its Telegram channel.
According to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the controls affected both migrants and employers using their labor. It is reported that as a result of the raid, 90 facts of administrative violations in the field of illegal migration were revealed.
The majority of violations (37 cases) concern violations of the rules of entry and stay in the Russian Federation. In addition, during raids on the places of residence and work of foreign citizens, 20 cases of illegal recruitment for labor activities and 13 cases of illegal labor activities were revealed.
90 immigrants and their employers will be fined, the minimum fine will be 2 thousand rubles and the maximum 10 thousand rubles. According to the court’s decision, three foreign citizens who violated the law will be expelled from the country.
The regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that similar raids will be carried out in the future. Law enforcement agencies in the Stavropol region ask residents to report known facts of violation of immigration laws.
