Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed his condolences to the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, for the death of his children and grandchildren, the Hamas press service reported on April 10 on its Telegram channel.
“Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, was contacted by His Excellency Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, expressing his condolences for the martyrdom of his children and grandchildren at the hands of the treacherous Zionist (Israeli – approx.) IA Krasnaya Vesna) bombings”says the press service.
It was previously reported that three children and several grandchildren of the head of the Politburo of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, died as a result of an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.
It should be noted that, commenting on the death of her children, Haniya said that this would not affect the movement’s demands for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Haniyeh said that during the years of confrontation with Israel, about 60 of his relatives were killed.
Let us remember that on October 7, 2023, the Palestinian movement Hamas launched an unprecedented rocket attack against Israel and invaded its territory. In response, Israel launched a military operation in the Gaza Strip, which is still ongoing.
