The Spanish Ministry of Defense in Madrid was partially evacuated this Wednesday after receiving two suspicious parcels.
Official sources of the Ministry of Defense showed that the Spanish institution again received two suspicious parcels, but the hypothesis that these were explosives was immediately rejected.
According to the Spanish newspaper El Confidential, fSpanish mine-trap police officers were sent to the scene to analyze the parcels.
The packages arrived at the Defense Ministry a week after the arrest of Pompeyo Gonzalez, a 74-year-old man who is credited with sending incendiary letters to six Spanish institutions last November.
On Friday, the man appeared before the court and was taken into custody. The Spanish judge pointed out that there is no evidence that González belongs to any organized group, but whether he had another partner is still being investigated.
