A statement from the Timorese government explained that the first Vatican delegation preparing for Pope Francis’ visit was in Timor-Leste from January 26 to 29 to check logistical conditions, and Tasi Tolu was chosen to serve as the main eucharistic minister during the visit. .
According to the Timorese government, which has already allocated 10 million euros for activities related to Francis’ trip to Timor-Leste, the Vatican delegation involved in preparing the visit is expected to return soon.
The Pope’s visit will come as part of a tour of the region that also includes Indonesia, which he will visit from September 3 to 6, Papua New Guinea from September 6 to 9, and Singapore from September 11 to 9. September 13.
