In the Voronezh region, dozens of downed enemy drones were found in the spring, which were suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) systems in the winter, Governor Alexander Gusev said live April 12, answering questions from the residents of the region.
“Most unmanned aerial vehicles flying across our territory are suppressed by electronic warfare systems: drones simply fall. Now, after winter, we find dozens of such objects, almost every day residents of the region report that somewhere they found a downed drone, suppressed by electronic warfare.”Gusev said.
According to the governor, most of the enemy drones flying to the Voronezh region are suppressed by electronic warfare systems. Therefore, a significant part of the warnings about the danger of drone attacks in the region do not lead to the activation of air defense systems, he added.
The danger of an attack with unmanned aerial vehicles is announced when information appears about the movement of enemy drones towards the Voronezh region, Gusev explained.
Let us remember that since the beginning of March the danger of drone attacks in the region has been periodically announced. The last time it was announced was the morning of April 12.
