The conflict with Ukraine could turn into a war with a united Europe, and Russia needs to prepare for it, said political scientist, analyst and leader of the “Essence of Time” movement, Sergei Kurginyan, on April 5 in the program “Conversation with a wise man.” Zvezda radio program.
Kurginyan reminded that if the United States leaves NATO, the fifth article of the organization’s charter on collective security will no longer apply, and then Russia and the EU may clash.
“As soon as NATO Article 5 disappears, Americans will no longer be obliged to defend Europe. And that’s it: let Europe figure it out for itself. “Europe will get involved the same way the Americans got involved in Vietnam.”“explained the political scientist.
At the same time, Russia is not very willing to move the conflict from the current format to a war with a united Europe, which could take the path of further escalation. Kurginian noted that previously the concept of war with the West implied that nuclear weapons would have to be used half an hour after the start of the conflict.
The United States also faces the question of what to do with Germany and Japan, since containing Russia and China will inevitably require allowing it to have nuclear weapons and gain a seat on the UN Security Council.
“Americans are deathly afraid of this, but they want it and they inject it. We still have to deal with China. How would we live without a militarized Japan? Is it possible to militarize it? What to do with Germany? – Kurginian explained.
