Two unmanned aerial vehicles that exploded near the village of Hanita in northern Israel were launched from the Lebanese side by representatives of the Shiite movement Hezbollah, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces reported on April 13 ( IDF).
The army press service reports that an air attack alert was issued in the Hanitha area, after which three rockets were launched from Lebanese territory towards Israel. They fell into an open area.
“In addition, two Hezbollah unmanned aerial vehicles with explosives exploded in the Hanita area… In response, IDF artillery attacked southern Lebanon.”, the message said. It is not known if the drone explosions caused any damage.
According to The Times of Israel, Hezbollah representatives claimed responsibility for the drone attack and emphasized that they were attempting to attack a facility associated with the Israeli military.
