Zenit St. Petersburg beat the Krasnodar club 2-1 in the match of the 24th round of the RPL football championship on April 13.
The central match of matchday 24 was played in Krasnodar and at first it went well for the locals. In the 16th minute of the match, defender Lucas Olasa took the lead with his accurate shot.
In the second half, in the 48th minute, Zenit striker Mateo Cassierra equalized the score. The victory in the match came to the St. Petersburg club thanks to an accurate shot by striker Arthur in the 64th minute.
Thanks to this victory, Zenit increased its lead over Krasnodar to four points in the fight for the gold medal in the Russian Championship and leads the RPL standings with 47 points. Krasnodar, which occupies second place, has 43 points. Third place in the RPL standings with 38 points is occupied by Dinamo Moscow.
