André Ventura announced this Saturday that the party will call the Minister of Finance Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, to the Budget and Finance Committee to clarify the issue surrounding the controversy over IRS cuts.
President Chegi highlighted a “huge breach of trust” by the new government, which “seems to want to follow the strategy of the previous one” led by António Costa.
“The right cannot accept a failed budget,” he said.
Andre Ventura also considered that the PS’s request for an urgent discussion with the Minister of Finance was not enough for the necessary supervision.
“Chega will use his parliamentary powers to summon the Secretary of the Treasury to the Budget and Finance Committee on Day One, as well as the Secretary of State for the Budget, to effectively explain to the country what the IRS cuts will be. proposes to do next year, what scale it will have and what impact it will have on Portuguese families,” said the party chairman.
