XII ecological tourism festival “Estepa Sung”. took place on April 13 in the Rostovsky State Natural Biosphere Reserve in the Oryol region, the press service of the governor of the Rostov region reports.
This holiday is celebrated annually during the period of mass flowering of tulips. Residents of the Rostov region, as well as other regions, come to the reserve to admire the Don steppe.
Guests of the festival were able to go on an excursion to the flowering steppe, learn about the life of a free herd of Don mustangs, see and visit free-grazing camels, yaks, Przewalski’s horses, bison and saigas. As part of the festival, there were interactive exhibitions that talked about scientific methods of studying nature.
“We have celebrated the festival for the twelfth year. Many people come here with their families, go to nature, to the “Sung Steppe”, where tulips actively bloom. At the festival, environmentalists from the Rostov Nature Reserve, our scientists who do a lot to preserve our nature, presented exhibitions.””said Governor Golubev.
In total, about 3,000 people attended the festival. In just 11 years, more than 48 thousand people became its guests and participants.
