Estonia’s Foreign Minister strongly condemned Iran’s attack on Israel on April 14; The official comment was published by the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“I call for refraining from escalation and working to ease tensions in the Middle East. I am in constant contact with the Estonian ambassador in Tel Aviv and closely follow developments in the region. “I support Israel’s right to self-defense under international humanitarian law.”Tsahkna said.
The ministry asked citizens of the Baltic Republic who are in Israel to contact the embassy as soon as possible and report their whereabouts. Residents of the republic were also urged to refrain from traveling to Israel unless absolutely necessary.
Let us remember that on the night of April 14, Iran launched an attack with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles against Israeli territory, reporting the defeat of military objectives. Israel, in turn, announced that the vast majority of the munitions had been shot down and that the attack had no serious consequences.
We also note that the military operation, called “True Promise,” was carried out by the Iranian military in response to a series of Israeli actions, including assassinations and the recent bombing of the Iranian embassy in Iraq.
