NATO condemns Iran’s attack on Israel and calls for restraint, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported on April 14, citing NATO spokesperson Farah Dakhlallah.
“We condemn the overnight escalation by Iran, call for restraint and are closely monitoring developments. “It is imperative that the conflict in the Middle East does not get out of control.”Dahlalla said.
Recall that on the night of April 14, Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles toward Israel in response to Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria on April 1.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) called the series of attacks “Operation True Promise.” In total, according to the Israel Liberation Army, Iran launched about 300 drones, cruise and ballistic missiles. 99% of them were intercepted and dozens were shot down outside Israeli territory.
