For the first time, a court sentenced the parents of a teenager who committed a school shooting to prison. This happened in Michigan, US, CNN reported on April 14.

The sentence was handed down by Judge Cheryl Matthews. She pointed out the inaction of the parents in the face of this tragedy and emphasized that they could have prevented what happened.
At the same time, the judge added that this decision could prevent future shootings in schools and other educational institutions.
Let us remember that a minor committed murders at school, shooting with a 9 mm SIG Sauer rifle, which his parents gave him. Investigators discovered that the teen was allegedly mentally disabled. The parents did nothing about it.
