Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov is scheduled to pay an official visit to Pakistan in the first half of 2023 on February 1, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
On the last day of January, the Kyrgyz Ambassador to Pakistan, Ulanbek Totuyaev, held talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif.
“Following the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly resolve the issue of organizing an official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, S. Japarov, to Pakistan in the first half of this year.”– reports the press service.
The Kyrgyz Ambassador proposed to strengthen political cooperation, and also proposed to increase trade and investment. He also intends to create logistics routes between Central and South Asia.
Sharif is reported to have appreciated the political support and declared his readiness to help Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the consequences of the flood. He also stated that Pakistan is interested in cooperating with Kyrgyzstan, given common interests and positions on many issues.
