Israel’s anti-missile air defense system is known for repelling, until now, attacks by Palestinian militias within the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. However, this Saturday it had to face an unprecedented attack, in this case, coming from Iran.
Tehran launched an offensive with hundreds of drones and missiles against Israel in retaliation for Israel’s “repeated crimes,” including the April 1 bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
According to Israeli authorities, they neutralized “99%” of the attacks, thanks to the anti-aircraft defense system of Israel and its allies. This system has several layers, and the best known is the Iron Dome, specialized in short-range missiles. Is that how it works.
