
Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva defeated Nadia Podoroska of Argentina on April 15 in the first round of the WTA-250 tournament in Rouen, France.
The world’s 43rd racket Andreeva broke the resistance of Podoroski (65th place in the WTA ranking) in 1 hour and 15 minutes by 6:1, 6:3.
During the match, Andreeva hit one ace, never made an error on the second serve, and won five games on her opponent’s serve (eight break points in total). Podoroski has not a single failed serve, not a single double fault and one break point converted out of five achieved.
In the second round, Daria Kasatkina will compete with the winner of the match between Fiona Ferro (France) and Elina Avanesyan (Russia).
The WTA-250 tournament in Rouen will be played on clay courts from April 15 to 21. The prize fund of the contest exceeds 0.2 million dollars.
