The Military Court of the Central District of Yekaterinburg sentenced a resident of Rezh, Sverdlovsk region, to 14 years in prison, EAN reports on April 15.
“The man was sentenced to 14 years in prison, of which he will spend the first four in prison”they told the agency in court.
Vladlen Menshikov, 30, convicted (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of the Russian Federation), was detained in September 2022 after attempting to sabotage the Sverdlovsk Railway (SvZhD). Sabotage was supposed to confirm his readiness to serve the kyiv regime.
First, he painted a stele of the city with pro-Ukrainian slogans, and then prepared sabotage on the Rezh-Striganovo route to cause the accident of a train with military equipment.
According to Kommersant-Ural, the convicted man was in contact with the “Freedom of Russia” Legion (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation), was detained on the border with Ukraine when he tried to cross to participate in the conflict as part of the battalion national against the Russian Armed Forces.
