Indian-American congressman Shri Thanedar accused American law enforcement officials of not taking sufficient steps to investigate increasing attacks on Hindus, the Times of India reported on April 16.
He said there has recently been a sharp increase in the number of attacks on Hindu temples across the United States. “And it is time for us to seek support. There is fear”the congressman emphasized.
The politician pointed out that many Hindu communities are afraid. “We see that local authorities have not taken sufficient measures.”Thanedar said.
He stressed that there were no arrests, not even suspects. The politician said that he wants to report what is happening to the president and the Congress of the United States.
It may be noted that Thanedar moved a resolution in Congress condemning anti-Hindu phobia, bigotry, hatred and bigotry. He referred it to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
The politician emphasized that he hopes for the support of both parties for his call, since it reflects American values.
