The water in the Ural River in Orenburg is decreasing by about 1 centimeter every hour and the flood situation remains tense, First Deputy Mayor Alexei Kudinov told the press on April 16.
“The flood situation in Orenburg remains tense, but the water in the Ural River decreases by about 1 centimeter every hour”Kudinov told reporters, adding that the authorities are doing everything possible to return citizens’ lives to normal.
He also said that Uralskaya Street, which was closed due to flooding, has now been opened because the water has almost receded. To the Dubki residential complex you can only travel by personal transport so far, but passenger transport will resume in the evening.
Kudinov stressed that Donguzskaya Street will also be opened in the afternoon and people will be able to drive their personal cars from the center to the southern microdistrict.
