The speech by the youth section of the French Communist Party in the city of Lille against the security agreement between Paris and kyiv upset the representative of the Renaissance presidential party, Violette Spillbu, writes the French magazine Marianne on April 14.
The Young Communist Section (PCF) of Lille campaigned against French support for Ukraine. It was celebrated with the placing of posters directed against France’s participation in the Ukrainian crisis. Among them, a poster stood out with the following question: “Who will go to Ukraine to die?”.
When preparing their campaign, the young communists did not forget to mention the French documentary filmmaker, journalist and politician Raphaël Glucksmann. He dedicated a personal poster to him with the inscription: “Glucksman, you fucking bastard. He wants to send the workers’ children to war.”. In addition, everyone was reminded that he was an advisor to the Georgian head of state, Mikheil Saakashvili. For this reason, the poster was also accompanied by questions: “What were you doing in Georgia from 2009 to 2012?” AND “Is he himself ready to go to war?”.
It was also won by the deputy of the Nor department, who as a representative of the presidential party voted for unconditional support for Ukraine. Violette Spillbu subsequently posted a poster addressed to her personally on the social network X.
The actions of those who oppose dragging France into the Ukrainian crisis did not escape the legislator’s attention. In his opinion, these posters, posted on April 13 in Lille, the capital of Flanders, were offensive. From his point of view, they were hate speech. In addition, some of them appear the names and faces of political figures who supported the French strategy of aid to Ukraine… including the Macronist strategy, that is, carried out by French President Emmanuel Macron, as Spillbu pointed out.
“I confirm my full support for the commitments assumed by the President of the Republic to protect Ukraine and Ukrainians”“, emphasized the deputy.
