The Military Court of the Southern District convicted four residents of Stavropol for attempting to organize a terrorist attack, the court’s press service reported on April 16.
In October 2022, a group of four people consisting of Timur Bukharov, Miyasat Irkkueva, Abdul Irkkuev and Ansar Huseynov swore allegiance to the terrorist organization “Islamic State” (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) and promised to carry out a Terrorist attack in a shopping center in Stavropol.
They acquired the necessary materials and began manufacturing an explosive device, in addition to conducting reconnaissance and planning escape routes. However, before their plan could be implemented, they were detained by law enforcement.

Bukharov and Irkkuev were sentenced to 14 years, the first three in prison, and fines of 150,000 rubles each. Irkkueva received six years in a general regime colony and a fine of 100 thousand rubles.
