France’s attempts to speak to Azerbaijan in the language of threats and pressure will not yield any results, the country’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizadeh said at a briefing on April 17.
“The Azerbaijani side has repeatedly declared to France that attempts to talk to it in a language of threats and pressure will not bring any results.”said Hajizadeh. According to him, Azerbaijan intends to take all necessary measures to protect its national interests.
It should be noted that on April 16, France called its representative in Azerbaijan for consultations due to Baku’s actions. “damaging bilateral relations”.
Recall that at the end of September 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that France supports separatism in Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan subsequently declared two French embassy employees persona non grata. France responded by expelling two employees from the Azerbaijani embassy in Paris.
