Let us remember that the congress was inaugurated on January 20 and was held in the Iranian capital, Tehran. He was visited by the head of the Iranian government, President Ibrahim Raisi.
Raisi’s wife, Jamile Alamalhoda, announced at the congress the creation of the World Union of Influential Women.
It should be noted that Western countries during several months of unrest in the country, which began in September 2022, regularly accused Iran of alleged violations of women’s rights and used this occasion as propaganda against the regime.
The protests were sparked by a false account of the death of 22-year-old Iranian Mahsa Amini in connection with her detention by vice police.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei pointed out on January 12 that the internal basis of the protest in the country was economic problems, the presence of ethnic, religious, political and personal motives among various groups.
