Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva defeated her compatriot Elina Avanesyan on April 17 in the second round of the WTA-250 tournament in Rouen, France.
The world’s 43rd racket Andreeva broke the resistance of Avanesyan (67th place in the WTA ranking) in 1 hour and 41 minutes (7:5, 6:4).
During the match, Andreeva completed three aces, made three errors on the second serve, and won five games on her opponent’s serve (a total of nine break points). Avanesyan does not have a single serve, a double fault and three break points converted out of 12 achieved.
Mirra Andreeva will compete with the winner of the match between the Ukrainian Angelina Kalinina and the Italian Martina Trevisan to reach the semifinals of the tournament.
The WTA-250 tournament in Rouen will be played on clay courts from April 15 to 21. The prize fund of the contest exceeds 0.2 million dollars.
