The cost of March futures for WTI crude fell $0.2 a barrel, according to the New York Mercantile Exchange at 7:50 a.m. Moscow time on February 3.
The cost of March futures for West Texas Intermediate crude in Asian trading on the NYMEX exchange was $75.7 per barrel, which is 0.2% lower than the closing level of the day of previous negotiation. The West Texas oil futures price has been falling for the third day in a row. The previous trading day, it fell 0.7% and the day before, 3.1%.
The Brent crude oil futures price for March delivery on the ICE London Stock Exchange rose to $82 a barrel, 0.2% below previous trading level.
The fall in oil prices occurs in the context of a more restrictive monetary policy by the world’s central banks. Also, stock speculators react to reports of a significant rise in commodity stocks in the US.
