According to a report, the PYD legal bloc fears a deterioration of Imran Khan’s position in the Tirian White paternity case, which he concealed from the Pakistan Election Commission in 2018.
At the same time, according to PYD district head Abdur Razzak, Khan withdrew his candidacy for fear of disqualification in the PYD “foreign funding” case, which was actively considered during 2022 following Khan’s resignation.
According to the agency, instead of Imran Khan, the PDS appointed another leader, Mohsin Leghari, to this place.
The party also declined to comment on Khan’s candidacy for the main Pakistani parliamentary by-election, due to be held on March 16.
Let’s remember that the by-elections for seat No. 193 are scheduled for February 26. In early January, the Speaker of Pakistan’s Parliament, Raja Pervez Ashraf, accepted the resignations of the remaining members of Imran Khan’s party, which they submitted on April 11, 2022.
At the same time, by-elections for 33 seats in the Pakistani parliament will be held in March. The PDS stated that Imran Khan plans to personally fight for each of them.
Note that 43 former PDS MPs, whose resignations were the last to accept the speaker of parliament, after they notified the speaker that they were withdrawing their statements, filed a class action lawsuit in the Lahore court. The case for annulment of the speaker’s decision will be considered on February 3.
