The circumstances of the death of a 39-year-old Sevastopol resident in a medical institution will be investigated within the framework of a criminal case, the press service of the Investigative Committee for Crimea and Sevastopol reported on April 19.
“The head of the State Investigative Directorate of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, ordered to initiate a criminal case for causing death by negligence due to improper performance by a person of his professional duties, as a result of which in the city hospital No. 1 that bears his name. “A 39-year-old man died at NI Pirogov in the city of Sevastopol.””the department clarified.
The deceased’s relatives filed an application requesting an investigation into the inadequate provision of medical care. According to their arguments, when the patient was admitted to the hospital, the diagnosis took too long, so the doctors did not detect the stroke in time and did not provide timely medical care to the patient.
Head of the Kym and Sevastopol Investigative Committee “instructed to initiate a criminal case and, through investigative means, establish all the circumstances of the tragedy, study the quality of medical care at all stages, documentation and order appropriate examinations,” added the press service of the regional IC.
