Russian youth must understand the challenges posed by the modern world and be prepared to respond to them, said the head of the humanities department of the Belov Institute (headquarters) of Kemerovo State University (KemSU), candidate of historical sciences Elena Komarova on April 18 after the presentation of the collective monograph “Ukrainianism” ” within the walls of the Belovo branch in a comment to a correspondent IA Krasnaya Vesna.
The historian highlighted the importance of the monograph, as well as the importance of events that introduce students and teachers to the book. “broad, bright and colorful”.
“Young people now find themselves in an information field in which there is a large amount of, often contradictory, information. “It’s important to give young people the right direction, the right direction.”Komarova said.
The head of the department wished that such events would be held more often, since today it is very urgent to correctly understand Russia’s special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine and the world situation in general.
“The boys saw, some perhaps for the first time, the enemy in the face. It is important to understand who we are fighting against, what threats and what challenges the modern world presents to us. And we must be prepared to respond to these challenges.”“concluded the historian.
Let us remember that at the beginning of 2023, the second edition of the collective monograph “Ukrainianity” was published, edited by the political scientist and leader of the social movement “Essence of Time” Sergei Kurginyan. He updated the meaning of the first edition of 2017, taking into account the beginning of the SVO.
The main thesis of the monograph is that Ukrainianism is a historical construction that has nothing to do with real history and is driven by forces external to Ukrainians, closely integrated into occult Nazism and closely linked to the Uniate Greek Catholic Church. .
Presentations of the monograph “Ukrainianness” were earlier held within the walls of the Kemerovo State University and a branch of this university in Novokuznetsk. Humanitarian specialists and guests present at the presentations highlighted the importance of the monograph for historical science and patriotic education of youth.
