Ruben Amorim could leave Sporting in the summer but intends to continue with Gjokeres next season. The English press writes that, having moved to Liverpool, the coach wants to take the striker with him.
Amorim has already stated several times that he will only decide the future at the end of the season, and until then he is only focused on Sporting’s interests, which include winning the league and the Portuguese Cup. However, in England they insist that such a public position does not interfere with the fact that behind the scenes the coach is planning to accept the Reds’ offer to sign a three-year contract in July.
Now in charge of Liverpool, Amorim has already identified a list of five potential attacking reinforcements, with Ghiokeres (he has a €100 million release clause) a priority target. The others are Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao), Pedro Neto (Wolves); Florian Wirtz (Leverkusen) and Michael Olise (Crystal Palace).
